The chief of Army Staff COAS, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has presented the key of a brand new Toyota vehicle to the Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) of the Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police, Army Warrant Officer (AWO) Tijani Omale as part of his welfare package for AWOs of the Nigerian Army.
The chief of Army Staff who was represented by the Provost Marshal Army Major General Olumuyiwa Aiyenigba presented the key of the vehicle to the beneficiary at the Headquarters Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police, Abuja.
General Aiyenigba stated that the presentation was part of the Chief of Army Staff’s effort of restoring the prestige associated with the rank of AWOs and office of the RSMs as they remain committed to setting the pace for the regimental lives of young officers and soldiers. He urged other soldiers to put in their best and work harder for nothing good comes easy.
In his response, Nigerian Army Corps of Military Police Regimental sergeant Major AWO Tijani Omale thanked the Chief of Army Staff and assured him of his unalloyed commitment to the Nigerian Army and pledged his continued service delivery to the nation.
He also expressed his appreciation to the Provost Marshal (Army) Major General Aiyenigba for his support and encouragement.
Highlights of the event were the handing over of the key of the brand new Toyota Hilux to the beneficiary and the order of photographs with the Provost Marshal Army.
